Arsene Wenger ready to reluctantly sign Cesc Fabregas

Arsene Wenger is ready to stop Cesc Fabregas from joining any rival Premier League club despite the fact he doesn't need the playmaker, reports the Daily Telegraph.
The Arsenal boss is ready and willing to spend the £100m the board have gifted him in the summer transfer market and has his eyes on a new striker, a defensive midfielder, a right-back and a goalkeeper.

However, former captain Fabregas looks set to be pushed out of the door at Barcelona this summer and Manchester United, Manchester City, and Chelsea have all been informed that a £30m will be enough to sign him.

Arsenal have asked Barcelona to keep them informed of the situation as Wenger is ready to stop Fabregas from joining a rival club by offering him a return to the Emirates.
The problem for Wenger is, at the moment, Arsenal are not calling out for a creative midfielder. In fact, if anything, they already have a surplus, boasting the likes of Jack Wilshere, Aaron Ramsey, Mesut Ozil and Santi Cazorla.

Wenger knows he risks a backlash from fans if he sits back and watches on of the Emirates' terrace heroes move to a title rival and will act accordingly.

Manchester City may make a move if Yaya Toure departs but their local rivals United are believed to be winding down their interest after failing to sign the 27-year-old last year.

Arsenal do have a buy-back clause inserted into the deal that saw Fabregas leave for Barcelona in 2011, but that will only become active if Fabregas tells Barcelona chiefs he wants to sign for Arsenal.
Fabregas is preparing to exit the Nou Camp but would ideally like to stay. If he does leave for England, Wenger is ready to pay the £30m to make sure he only goes to Arsenal
